I don't know if this is just our air fryer, or if this is something the company that makes ours is just starting as of today, but now when you tell an alexa device to start the air fryer, it will say it started it, the air fryer will beep, but it doesn't actually start until you push a button on the touch screen. this just started this morning! I am so so so not impressed! I would put what brand we have, but I am not on my desktop at the moment, so can't spell it right, let me try though. it is a cosori. I hope I am spelling that right.
@JamminJerry yeah this has been the case in the UK for many years. It’s a safety feature
@gibbs002 it is stupid! if I tell my echo device, or a google device to start my air fryer, then damnet start it already. I know that for us here in the states, if you did it threw the app, you had to touch a button on the air fryer, which again, this is stupid. what is the point! our particular air fryer, you can't feel where the button is at all. so now I am probibly going to have to put a dot on the thing, just so I can start it. this is not safety this is just stupid!
