What Zed is missing is a lite version without collab features, ai prediction, or GitHub authentication.
I never used these and feel I never will, since what is actually needed is a minimal, clean and robust IDE — which #zed could be, if they didn’t bloat editor with commercial features.
So, I’ve been using #helix for almost a year now and I’m pretty happy with it.
