Steve CarterThe Red Squirrels still have 'tufted ears' at the moment - but will soon lose the extra fur as Spring gets warmer. Two of them here on different sets of bird feeders this morning. Then to the hazel nuts to grab and bury somewhere in the forest.
Simon Brooke@GetCarter You know, I'm not sure this is true. Our squirrels have distinct tufts all through the year. I don't have good enough photos to show this clearly, but this is one of our squirrels in September last year and it's plenty fluffy.
