Buying TV commercials and Facebook comments isn’t really bribing anyone. They actually own the media apparatus. They own the two party system. They bought it fair and square. They don’t need to bribe anyone because they completely control every aspect of society. People willingly vote for them. There’s no bribes being handed out on election day.

It was legal because he never actually paid them I think. He just promised to pay them and got the result. Which is different because Elon is a trillionaire.
