Interesting comment. I'd say John Howard was our most destructive PM. Labor has been less and less Labor since Hawke. 🤔 Maybe Albo is most dangerous in some ways.

Thoughts?

@DropBear Albo is a prime minister that Malcolm Fraser would be proud of.
@DropBear

He's not dangerous. The situation is dangerous. Imagine Scott from Marketing in charge right now... That would be dangerous.
@ewen @DropBear yeah, that makes him all the more dangerous. he doesn't have to be malicious, or ideological, or even particularly incompetent. he just has to be unable to meet the moment. moment after moment, he just has to be a little callow, a little soft, a little weak. the consequences are so much greater. labor are content to slouch against the overton window, content to be less harmful than the libs, seemingly unconcerned that their unwillingness to address issues, their inaction in the face of crisis, is handing the county to one nation.
so yeah, howard really fucked things for everyone, but the labor party under albo might end up with a worse legacy, as the party that was less attractive than the fascists.
@DropBear Albo is certainly a bitter disappointment for progressives.
Dangerous?
I mean their knee-jerk support for the US and Israel is expected, if nauseating, but I dunno...he seems weak to me.

@DropBear
My guess is that he (or any Australian government) has been put in very difficult situation:

On one hand the Labor base is wanting him to move away from the USA.

On the other the intelligence services desperately want access to 5-Eyes info; the armed forces are advising that much of their equipment is unusable without US permission; and multiple US companies are threatening to take their investments back.
