@spacepup Which one? The formant synthesizer one, or the BestSpeech decompilation project since I'm actually working on both right now.

As far as the formant synthesizer goes, it started out as a freelance project meant to be coded in Rust. In recent months, I've been thinking about getting it over to C as well.

My client has been kinda on and off lately. If things don't pan out with him, I'm going full on in on the C version since per contract I can't just put out the Rust code. That way people can easily create SAPI adapters for it when it's all complete.

@rommix0 oh nice! I like how it sounds right now. I might make my own formant synth also, trying to do my own take on something like votrax, i think that has 3formants but i might get praat and get formant frequencies of my voice. What kind of filter do you use? Gemini wants to do butterworth but i'm not too sure

@spacepup LOL. That AI has no clue what resonators are.

I'm using the classic klatt biquad filter type. Mine uses 3 variable formants with the last 3 being stationary for voice characteristics

@spacepup Yeah for sure. Votrax is also formant, so I'm sure using the klatt formulas would work just fine for what you're going for.
