Daniel JalkutI ran in to an acquaintance at my favorite wine store, whom I'd never seen there before. It turns out he's been shopping there for 30 years, and knows all the same people I do. I've "only" been shopping there for 20 years. I know it's killing you, the place is The Wine and Cheese Cask in Somerville.

@dmoren Unfortunately they changed up their sandwich offerings a couple times since the pandemic. Now they have a "no substitutions" fixed list and it's a fairly unusual ingredient repertoire. No lettuce, for example, only arugula. https://www.thewineandcheesecask.com/sandwiches.html
@danielpunkass I find that they generally will do some substitutions if you’re there and ask nicely. We still get sandwiches from there once a month or so and my wife gets them more frequently since she works around the corner.

@danielpunkass @dmoren Yes! Although I recall having that one often, it was my absolute favorite. Cheddar and carmelized onion. One of those and a cup of coffee on the way to my shop was a very good day.
