The US have hardly begun to fail but the pre-conditions are lining up for an unprecedented fail. Bubble economy. Record debt levels. Trade/tariiff wars damaging their economy. Extremely corrupt and incompetent executive. No effective political opposition and woefully ineffective safeguards against abuses of executive power. And now a land war in Asia is going to pile on more debt. This one is could be very bad and we are going to be exposed in multiple ways.

We need to start planning for a future in which the USA is a diminished force. Regardless of legality of the US invasion, the ethics, and public opinion against participating, its simply not in our long term interests to get in deeper with the US at this time. We should be diversifying our strategic relationships not getting in deeper.
