Should I play the first first or is starting with this one ok?

I used to be very anti-card game but Inscryption was very fun and I’m trying to branch out to some stuff outside of my comfort zone. Any other recommendations for card games?

Sts2 ,in every conceivable way, supersedes its predecessor , rendering it obsolete.

There’s minimal story, so you’re not missing anything.

Just jump in and play.

Not disagreeing, but it’s hard to imagine a masterpiece of a game being rendered obsolete. There’s beauty in its deceptive simplicity, the game really was exactly what it set out to be. For example, there’s a large chunk of the Minecraft playerbase that would argue prerelease is the superior version of the game. There’s clarity and refinement in less.
It’s kind of like (and this is obviously a departure from the card game genre) Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is considered the ultimate game of the franchise despite their being several proceding iterations after it. I’m even a huge fan of the 2nd one despite it being significantly more minimal. Something about the 2d sprites and was very charming.
