Wondering if it's time start #prepping again.

Brexit was the last time.. but I bought iodine pills when the Ukraine war kicked off again in 2022.

I just mean buying more tinned food.. a little extra each week. Making sure there is just a bit of excess.

True resilience comes from having strong local connections though. So be friends with your neighbours

@kat We are still running the #brexshit cupboard. Which, as it turned out, wasn't needed for #brexshit shortages, but came in very handy with lockdown when it was three weeks before we could get a supermarket food delivery - we had months of non-perishables in stock.
@TimWardCam it's fine to have a bit of rolling buffer. I've been running it down but I might increase it a bit again

@kat I think we're running it down from "six months to a year" to "two or three months".

The problem was fresh stuff. That first week it was stinging nettle soup, being the only edible thing growing in our garden. There's a lot more being grown now.
