NATO intercepts a second Iranian missile in Turkish airspace - Lemmy.wtf

Israel and USA attack Iran. So Iran attacks Turkey?
You understand that US projects power in the gulf states through the military bases operated out of those countries? The radar systems form a network that increase the success of punishing Iran’s ability to defend themselves. Incirlik Air Base near Adana is a US base in Turkey, which was likely the target for this interception.

Yes, I keep a global list of US military bases in my head. /s

Ty though, now if makes sense.

reminder: the media wants you to forget there are US bases there.
I think we also need to remember that there’s children on the internet who maybe are still learning about world affairs
absolutely! subtle reminders and knowledge about how disgusting the US is will only do good things for those folk.
It also didn’t specifically say why, so without knowing that, one could assume they were missing information. Most people probably don’t know where world military bases are.
Very informative! I was not aware of that myself and it makes a lot more sense now.
Iran has been targeting bunch of other stuff too besides just US military bases in the surrounding countries including civilian and energy infrastructure.

They have attacked hotels where US military targets were staying. I am not aware of any other civilian targets outside of Israel. The infrastructure hits at the refinery and airports are from my interpretation a wake up call for the surrounding countries that business as usual cannot function while Iran’s sovereignty is under attack. They happened in the first 3 days and I haven’t seen much recently.

Iran literally can’t survive this without pressure from the gulf and international governments and so far it looks like this fight that they have been planning for decades has been the biggest wartime embarrassment the US has ever suffered.
