@EdwinG Yeah, some media outlets are pretty agressive about giving official-sounding English versions of names that officially exist only in French. As a translator myself, I understand why they do it; it’s just so much much easier to scan for an English-speaking reader. Pretty sure that the STL wouldn’t approve though. LOL

And in the kind of work I do, it wouldn’t fly at all. I’d probably write something like, “Laval’s transit authority, the STL…”
