Fergus MurrayKifl is recovering from surgery well, and finally got her cone off this morning! So she's back to using us as pillows.
It's nice.
I was going to sit here, but Kifl just looked so contented!
Then I remembered I can just rotate her wholesale.
It's nice having a small dog.
Kifl has decided that snow is VERY BAD.
She did eventually pee, but my gods it took a lot of work.
Kifl is in another of her in-between states on the sofa, this time propped up on a blanket and lying against @[email protected].
Her eyes are open, but she is intermittently snoring.
If the Kifl photos have been coming a bit slower lately, it's not because she's lying on the sofa any less intensely...
Kifl comes out of a long stretch slowly.
Every now and then she does a stretch where she briefly taps her back feet together.
I managed to photograph it, but you might just need to take my word about how cute it is, unless you're very good at making sense of photos of dogs with lots of dark fur, doing strange poses.
Kifl is an old Arabic word meaning 'fold'.
It is unclear whether her immediate namesake, Vanillekipferl, is cognate.
Kifl's half-westie, but I'm glad that he new groomer gave her more of a schnauzer cut than the old one ever managed.

Kifl's always had stripes, but they're subtle, and only really visible when her hair is short.
As she gets older, her fur is shifting very slowly towards grey - I think this is probably the strongest stripe she's ever had.
