@infobeautiful This is setting my AI spidey sense off
@james @infobeautiful I first saw this more than a year ago, and I suspect it wasn't new then.

Pay close attention to the pot, it gets slightly more damaged after every flight. I don't think AI can fake that level of consistency yet.
@aaron The environment is also consistent across all shots.
@james @infobeautiful AI or no, it's extremely clearly fake. Rising that high wouldn't move that slowly at the beginning, and the bowl has nowhere near the mass it would need to push through that much air.

@james @infobeautiful saw that few years back. No exact date but likely 4 or 5 years ago and for sure in a pre-good-AI-video time.

This doesn't mean there is no trick or CGI, but not generative AI.

@james @infobeautiful For what it's worth, it could be real...

@infobeautiful When I was a kid my uncle came by with several M-80s which he set off under a coffee can, launching it pretty high in the air, maybe like the 2000 or 3000 fireworks in the video.

After a couple of times the bottom of the can was bowed out, and on the last time it separated from the rest of the can and went spinning off like some horrific razor-sharp frisbee from hell. ๐Ÿ˜‚

@infobeautiful it was taken from Xiohongshu before him...

As such, I will post the traditional Chinese meme associated with this when it's reposted.

@infobeautiful I would like to buy that pot โ€‹โ€‹
