We’re going to need a bigger Bird Buddy.
@chockenberry You might not need one at all for much longer with that murder bird hanging around.

@ashkendo Yeah we often have dozens of sparrows, finches, hummingbirds, and other small species. When the big boy arrived, the backyard was completely empty.

Was also pretty cool to see a crow dive bomb the hawk to say “get the hell out of my neighborhood”.

@chockenberry We have crows and hawks in our neighborhood. The hawks know not to mess with the crows. A hawk can take a crow, but it can’t take them all…and if you mess with one crow, you mess with them all.
@ashkendo My wife and I have gotten in the habit of saying "Where's the hawk?" when we see dozens of crows going off. They really get solidarity.

@chockenberry Bird Buddy - Carnivore Edition. Much larger of course. Instead of seeds, you load chicken or fish into a refrigerated compartment, and the Bird Buddy automatically grinds and extrudes it when it detects a predatory bird nearby.

If it detects a non-predatory bird, it automatically refills the compartment.

@chockenberry mmm, yummy bait station sez the … falcon?
@lorimolson Probably a red shouldered hawk. Could be Cooper's or red tail, but you can't really tell from this angle.
@chockenberry did you know your bird feeder doubles as a bird feeder?
