Following up on Alberta's book ban legislation, CBC used Access to Information requests to compile an updated list of banned books. [1]

Last fall I posted about the initial list - which was criticized by Danielle Smith even though her legislation created it. [2]

I am sad to see graphic novel versions of Albert Camus in the list as his work greatly influenced me as a teen.

The list is compiled by combining lists from all the different school districts. Some schools have a book, while others don't.

Note from the article: "none of the material removed was found in schools that exclusively house elementary-age students."

Here are some others books on at least one school district list:

- graphic novel versions of both George Orwell's 1984 and Margaret Atwood's Handmaid's Tale

- Ringworld by Larry Niven

- V for Vendetta

- The Walking Dead

- The Sandman
