They do. This is a (so far) rare occurrence. Britain is notorious for this. Almost as bad as China.
People here get arrested for being abusive and threatening towards other people.
Not for being critical of the government.
That isnt a free speech issue, that is law enforcement acting on complaints from real people.
If you threaten to burn my house down, damn right the police should be arresting you for it.
