Yup. It’s easy to spot when “news” fits these criteria:

  • Evokes emotional response
  • Too dangerous to ignore
  • Devoid of any proof of something that is actually happening or going to happen
  • Plausible

    • The key here is that it’s noise designed to wear you out by provoking hypothetical scenarios in your head. This is intended to saturate the minds of the most dangerous opposition of all: The smart and educated. It’ll go flying right over the heads of everyone else, but they have other tactics for that.
