I’m the same way; I’ve been extra gripey about Boomers lately and it was really nice to see one with some sense and a handle on reality.
I would bet that he’s partly trying to look MAGA on purpose. They’ll skip past the video that looks like it’s from a person who would stereotypically disagree with them. This guy though, standing in front of a flag? They’ll click it, and hopefully they’ll get far enough in to get something out of it.

explodicleWhile I agree with the sentiment, social security pays out over 1.2 USD trillion annually. The cost of this “short operation” will be in the trillion dollar plus eventually if it turns out like the last few wars in the area but even the AP says that bot Iraq and Afghanistan came out to 2 trillion USD over the course of their respective conflicts. . Much of domestic payments from the federal government is for the Pentagon and Social security, with social security being the biggest line item on the US budget.

While that may be true it doesn’t mean that the spending on the shindig in iran is where all that money goes, a large majority of it goes into salaries for soldiers and soldier benefits such as the GI bill and the VA, even if the care and salaries aren’t very good there are millions of Americans getting their salary from the DOD or military directly.
