If Trump, or even Biden, had embedded US troops in #Ukraine to help them defeat Putin, they would have learned how to fight a drone war.

Instead, they starved Ukraine and blundered into awar with #Iran using late-20th C techniques.

We know very well how to fight a drone war, we've just spent millions on the expensive toys so we feel the need to use them.

There's an old old book called David's Sling that explains all this.

I'm not sure what you mean here.

Of course, I'm saying that America should have given far more weapons (and less restrictions) to Ukraine, so they could defeat Russia. At the same time, they could have embedded some troops to learn modern warfare (and frankly help deter Russia)

In fact, any #NATO country could have done that (or still do it)

@TCatInReality @georgetakei Ukraine is not yet a NATO member, so having nato boots on the ground poses restrictions. Indeed those might have learned. In 22 ukr was sending troops to be trained (on drones among other things) over to EU countries. By now they are the ones with the knowledge. Europe needs them.
