I still haven't gone out, slight change of plans, but I wasn't expecting Cookie to go hunting for eagle owls in my neck of the woods (literally).

If anyone wants to give me the loan of a thermal camera I'll do some nice footage of little birds I can hear but can't see and maybe even a giant predator like this

The place he found it (which is pronounced Whit-Ick) will charge me a minimum of £18 entry so I'll just start going to Smethstow Reserve a little more often and check out the tall trees there.
I normally go down the canal and walk along there but was going to visit the brook in the spring so it's not that much of a detour.
