fedi can you help a non-programmer identify signs of AI in repos? so far the ones I know are:
- AGENTS.MD or CLAUDE.MD
- copilot, claude, gemini etc under contributors
- unusually frequent releases
- very wordy changelogs with lots of emojis
any other obvious tells that don't involve understanding the code?
please boost lol
@tibi2 tables. charts. flowcharts. so. many. fucking. tables.
@xan oh yeah I've seen those too, added to my list
@tibi2 Markdown tables and Mermaid charts are an instant "close tab" for me. like dawg, i'm not readin' that shit, and you sure aren't writing that shit either
Markdown Tables generator - TablesGenerator.com

Easily create tables in extended Markdown format supported by Markdown Here and GFM.

@tarix29 @tibi2 i have no particular beef with humans using tables, because they have the ability to judge when tables are the right way to present information
@tibi2 unnaturally pleasant(?) issues and commit messages "Sorry you are right"
@kabel42 yeah that's a good one. often peppered with the beloved em dash
@tibi2 maybe more generraly when something you would to be written by an engineer reads like it was written by a pr person?
@tibi2 blocking an AI things account will mean you see a banner across the top of any other repo's page if an AI thing has contributed to it, instead of having to look through the contributers
@paul yep I've seen this trick a while back, I blocked: claude, gemini-code-assist, code-assist-agents, cursoragent. would welcome any more for the list
