Mastodawn

I bumped into these two magnificent goats last weekend near Loch Trool, in #GallowayForestPark last weekend.

Quite appropriately my first sighting of them was one of them standing at one end of the bridge over the Buchan Burn waterfalls.

I moved very slowly, trying to look as least like a Troll as possible (difficult I know) and reached for my camera.

Unfortunately my phone camera isn't great, so this is the poor result.

I like how one of them is "I got my eye on you, buster, don't try anything funny or I'll buck you into the next electoral district", while the other one is far more laissez-faire, ironically the one missing a horn. Perhaps their injury is a mark of honour which gives them their attitude, like "you should have seen the other guy, you could be next".

@DenOfEarth The other one did have two horns. The second horn, that you can't see from that angle, was twisted right back down behind it's head. Maybe as a result of damage or just the way it grew.
