@VeroniqueB99 Quite sure energy pricing works on marginal cost, meaning that the price you get for any source of electricity is defined by the most expensive one. (Does mean you get more profit if you own/exploit a renewable source, but if you're buying, you're still hit.)

Price of diesel locally went from CAN$1.80/L (US$5.02) to CAN$2.15L (US$6/gal).

Price of electricity from the local government monopoly is still 13¢/kWh.
