This definitely feels relevant to my own (non-covid) experience - my ferritin levels seem to have dropped fairly suddenly (I wasn't being tested super regularly back then) around 2018, which is about when I became chronically ill. Doctors weren't very interested because circulating iron stayed high, but now 8 years later I'm finally starting to raise my ferritin and I'm pretty sure it's making a huge difference to how I feel.

Although now that I'm reading the study itself, it seems maybe they are describing the opposite situation (high ferritin, low circulating iron). Fascinating, either way!

Hello!
Please share how you are raising your ferritin levels.
I use these supplements but not sure if I should consider something else.
Thanks!

A handful of things:
- I learnt I was vitamin C deficient, so I started taking high strength C with my iron tablets & increased my fruit intake
- I take Maltofer tablets 2x a week & iron bisglycinate/iron II glycinate 1x a week
- I use a Lucky Iron Leaf (from https://luckyironlife.com/) to make iron-infused water, and I drink about 1.6L of that daily

Nothing was helping until I started the vit C and the Lucky Iron Leaf, but I can't say for sure which one helps!

Wouldn't such a simple cause which shows in a lab test been discovered long time?
