Your reminder to always, always respect someone's chosen name and pronouns. This includes names/pronouns that change or aren't a singular name or pronoun set. Refusal to respect names and pronouns, even ones that are inconsistent, is frankly shitty and unfair behavior. "It's too hard to remember your names/pronoun sets" is never an excuse. Ask. Communicate. Put in effort even if you're not perfect, nobody's expecting you to be. We're so tired of seeing this. - Jaylin/Samara
This post brought to you by someone telling us that they felt addressing us by members' names and pronouns is somehow too hard and they don't want to do it. This is something we deeply disapprove of and find very invalidating. We're progressively having less and less tolerance for this shit. People, just be respectful and kind and try. Nobody's asking you to be perfect. Just show up for your people FFS. - Jaylin/Samara
@cubic @Haven_of_dreams Wow, its not that hard, I treat you all like you have one body, but are multiple souls, kinda like Ermac tbh, but at least your not here to kill me, so each one of you I treat differently as a result.
@LeonianUniverse @cubic Honestly most of us prefer to be treated separately. Like you're saying, one body, multiple people. We technically have a collective name "kaliah" for us to go by with people we're not out to and if someone doesn't know who's fronting, but if we're out and someone knows, we expect individual addresses and treatment. We hate the "remembering all your names and pronouns is too hard" excuse. - Samara
@Haven_of_dreams @cubic It makes sense, and I do my very best to remember who's in control when I talk to a system.
@LeonianUniverse @cubic I think it's good to do that. We value it when people even just try. We're not expecting perfection from anyone, we just want people to try for us. - Samara
@Haven_of_dreams @LeonianUniverse @cubic Greetings, collective of the Haven of dreams. I sincerely hope all of you are doing the best that you can, as you have separate feelings, I will not assume all of you are doing well.
