@LMurch @georgetakei They think it's an unanswerable "gotcha" for advocates of trans rights: that the simple idea that you get to say what gender you are is too absurd to be supportable.

The thing is, they can't answer it. They want "biological sex" to provide an "objective" answer that is immutable, and to force everyone to conform to that, but try defining that and you'll always run into exceptions and gray areas anyway, even if we were to accept the gross tyranny required. They can't say why it's so important either without lying.
