🔖 Bookmarked: Sony is Dropping the PC Ports Sad to hear the news that Sony will stop releasing its titles on PC, in spite of the huge success of popular hits like _Horizon_ and _Spider-Man_. These are some of my favorite games to play on my PC, especially the _Horizon_ and _Uncharted_ sequels. I understand the desire to push their own hardware, but I generally think that this is a poor decision.

The best justification I have seen comes from Steam Deck HQ, who point out that the shakeup at Xbox may be to blame: > [It is an] image issue for Sony, with the next Xbox console rumored to be running Windows, meaning future Xbox consoles could play PlayStation games if they were to release on PC. Unfortunately, the logic here is reasonable, though I think Sony is leaving money on the table. (2/2)

@jonathan It's Sony, they'd absolutely without blinking an eye claim that their ultra-proprietary DRM is incompatible with whatever DRM lockdown bullshit Microsoft would force on the hypothetical win11Xbox.
