I’m programming a minimalist mbox/eml reader for basically this (and probably some separate IMAP/POP3 sync tooling, although there are already others around). I already have a file manager anyway and no mail filter mechanism can top grep.
Though it’s in it’s early stages; no public git repo yet. Is MicroM a good name?
