Someone reached out to me recently asking for my input on a coding bootcamp.

I hope these programs are making it clear how difficult it is to get into the industry right now.

I know more than a handful of people actively looking to get out, myself included. We’re here just hanging on to our jobs for as long as possible.

@paolamata by this do you mean you’re looking to change fields completely? What’s that look like? I’ve only heard of people trying to get into tech.

@rwitherspoon I don’t think it’s something people share publicly. I think it probably looks like a hobby or side hustle for a while until it takes off.

For example a friend of mine started a YouTube channel where they’re planning to do travel/city guide content.

Not sure where my makeup thing will go. Just getting started, but it’s been a blast so far in a way I haven’t felt about my day job for years.
