@AliceStollmeyer This is the best women’s day post, from a man’s perspective of course.

This encapsulates a common problem with so-called ’progressivism’: The myth of progress being inevitable and linear. Yet, in reality there is only change.

What it misses, is that humans are always slipping back to a more ’default mode’ which is kings & princes, feudalism & serfdom (like we’re doing right now, even if digitally). This more hierarchical setting always includes misogyny.

@gimulnautti @AliceStollmeyer If you look at history, it seems more like pendulum swings than progress. Or, if there *is* progress towards a more enlightened/free/equal society, it is only by way of "two steps forward, one step back".
