Fixing a [Rule]box car is always better with friends

Lifting my 23 year old toyota this weekend, managed ONE of four done today, feel this

I feel you on that man, every time I’ve had to work under my first gen CRV (it’s a 2000 model year, made at he end of 1999) it’s turned into a weekend project.

Rear sway bar links? 3 days. Trailing arm and rear control arm bushings? 2 days. Sway bar bushings? 2 days AND ended up swapping out the rear cross beam because of how fucked it became during the whole shitshow (the latest project with it).

Under the hood? At most an afternoon.

This is why the only time I’ve truly felt comfortable working on my own car was when I had a 2nd car. Far too many instances of still wrenching Sunday at 11, midnight, 1am… knowing that I don’t have a choice to stop - I have to be able to get to work in the morning.
