AFAIK know/remember this is the first use of they/them pronouns for a baseline human (I think I read it for a mechanicum acolyte or magos before) in a Warhammer novel.

@Eatsbluecrayon okay i'm a lifelong avid reader and I have read a LOT. My brain demands books to be innovative in some way or risk bore-out so much that i have become a snob. My opinions on work by widely appreciated authors will lose me followers at times.
I cannot read a book or watch a series without a 75% chance of spoiling it for myself. If there's not a redeeming quality (an excellent use of tone, a rawness of imagery, or a disgustingly complex narrative), I tend to bow out mentally 1/2
