Looking at a few videos & likely will some more because so far I'm just getting superbly confused as to why aparently some people use the entirety of their kitchen countertops as cutting boards, mixing bowls, cooling racks, trivets & hammering practice spots...

Overall in my kitchen redesign/repair project set I'm not sure yet if I'll even keep any cabinets, nevermind counters/countertops but I'm still looking around to see what might actually work & hope I find something sensible soon.

Okay found someone with some sense, they're still of the "let's blind all with too much light" but that's probably true of pretty much everyone in the design sphere so....

One decent idea is "whenever possible use shelves instead of shelves in cabinets", so as I can't find anyone with layout pictures of only open shelves on the bottom & cabinets at the top....I will at least seriously consider making all the lower cabinets into sets of drawers.

The drawer setups seemingly sensible for putting away my 4 sets of dishes & utensils.

I'll need to do some measuring to confirm layouts, 3, 5 or 6 drawers/set, with 3-6 feet of shelving/set for pots, pans, bowls & serving/cooking pieces but it's a little progress.
