The Witch of Crow Briar@zephyrxero @galacticstone I mean, we sent emails just fine before data centers existed, and a lot of fedi instances are self-hosted on actual hardware (including in one notable instance a barely functional phone powered by solar), so while opinions differ I personally wouldn’t mind if the qualifier was dropped 😅
