Fuck Bill and fuck nuclear.
Nuclear is amazing you anti science dummy

So amazing private insurers won’t touch it with a 10-foot carbon rod and it always has to be back-stopped by tax-payers.

What possible advantage does nuclear have in a world covered in sun and wind?

Footprint.

Also consistency. Solar and Wind will continue to be supplementary energy sources for the foreseeable future because they are way too variable based on the weather.

Nuclear isn’t competing with them, it’s competing with fossil fuels, and it’s an easy choice from that perspective.

Just wanted to say I’m glad to see you around.
Thank you, glad to see you as well and that the server seems to be doing well

It’s almost like all of the nuclear reactors in America are 60 years old and garbage compared to modern reactors that other advanced nations like China are building that are significantly safer and more efficient. We haven’t been able to get more efficient and safer reactors because of fear mongers, that’s why this article is exciting.

Solar and wind are amazing as well, but they need better advancements in energy storage to be the only solution.

Who tell you that Chinese reactor are safer ? Lol

They operate 59 nuclear power plants without a single major safety incident and

"The National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA), under the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA), is the licensing and regulatory body which also maintains international agreements regarding safety. It was set up in 1984 and reports to the State Council directly. In relation to the AP1000, NNSA works closely with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. China has been a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) since 1984.[48]

China has requested and hosted 12 Operational Safety Review Team (OSART) missions from IAEA teams as of October 2011, and each plant generally has one external safety review each year, either OSART, WANO peer review, or CNEA peer review (with the Research Institute for Nuclear Power Operations).[57] " link

That’s for the theory. When a neighbouring country detects an increase in radioactivity, it is often too late.

China is not known for being the most open country in the world and a regime of transparency. The proof of this is the incident at the Taishan EPR in 2021, where there was a delay in communication and divergences with its partners. China having communicated on a performance problem while there was damage to the fuel rods. The incident also raised questions about safety standards and regulatory practices in China, including the decision to continue operating the reactor despite signs of degradation. Some reports have suggested that Chinese authorities may have considered increasing permissible radiation limits to avoid shutting down the reactor, an allegation denied by China.

We can legitimately question how a major incident would be managed. A Chernobyl-type transparency, some elements of which are still unknown today.
