Gnocchi, my lovely foster cat, is still here. We found the perfect home for her... and then it turned out she had ringworm. (Cue gnashing of teeth and wailing by me.)
Her potential adopters are still interested, though it may be another month or two before she's ready, so at least we have that.
In the meantime, turn up the volume and enjoy some snoring.

@Lojie Ringworm is a pain in the butt, but it's not life-threatening. And even though it always *feels* like it takes forever to clear up and I'll be convinced that it's never going to get better, it does eventually go away.
But also, I used to treat sick rabbits and birds. They drop dead if you look at them wrong, so kittens and cats feel pretty resilient, even if I still lose some of them.
@tm_baumgartner True, and it does go away ... but the cleaning and dipping protocol, especially if you have open-house policy and several cats is just so time-consuming! And PCR tests again and again ...
Do you use blacklight for seeing spots, too?
@Lojie I don't have a blacklight, so no. But depending on the strain, it might not fluoresce anyhow.
It's a good reminder of why I don't let my fosters have the run of the entire house! One room with minimal furniture is cleanable. The entire house? It would be impossible.
