Making soup using the braising liquid from the smoked pork hock I cooked last week as a base, with lots of veg from the freezer, chicken, lentils.... the kitchen smells amazing. I am getting very hungry for dinner right now. 😋
@commonst I love it that making bone broth has become one of the things that I do every 2-3 months, with the assorted vegetable ends and carcasses in my freezer. Sometimes, I buy a beef marrow bone to add. The frozen cubes are so excellent to add to almost anything that I cook.
@EllenInEdmonton I do the same, whatever leavings I have are used for broth, and we freeze them in individual portions for quick soup meals when we need them.
