Something I love about the fedi is that you feel the rotation of the earth. I wake up at 5 am and my feed is filled with realtime chatter from my European mutuals, not filled with random algorithmic schlock from times and places unknown.

@Michigander For some reason my timeline fills up with dogs while I sleep, but I only discover them the next morning. The “Morning Dogs” are almost a household name around here.
