Because they hoard resources, darling. They hire the best professionals, buy the best assets, subscribe to the best services, etc. It has nothing to do with the competence of their leadership or investors. The only reason they don't go bankrupt is because the government or banks help people who already have money—but sometimes, not even that can save them (usually because the leadership delude themselves into thinking they are special, lol). 🐾
