Hardest decision of the morning yet: Windows 95 or 98 for this retro-gaming machine?
Been a while since I had to think about that one for real hardware; usually the kit is much older and it's an easier choice 
Gonna ruminate on that one while making some coffee.
@mxfraud 98SE was such a disastrous experience for me back when it was the current OS of the day that I've always been a little shy to go back to it.
Like, how a lot of people felt about XP64? That's how I feel about 98SE 
Maybe now's the time to go back and peek again?
@ety I've not had the joy of ecperiencing xp64 so I couldn't comment, but when I have solid memory of installing 98SE on some leftover hardware and using it to play quake 3 and starcraft.
I did use windows ME before that and that was the worse experience I ever had with any OS.
Simply playing music would crash the computer.
I would say, if you do try it again and you find it as bad as you did back in the day, I'd love to hear your findings.
