Ok ok so the whole Internets claim text is edited (it totally looks edited, but then this is kinda franchise and there could be translations going back and forth that create this edit effect). But I’m quite certain the art is original, so it’s probably not a simulacrum, but does anybody know where the heck it came from? Can we make this a place where this mystery ends?

I found these others from google reverse image search and tineye, and image translate shows they have the same meaning, haven’t found the actual source yet, but some of the Google reverse image search results seem to indicate it could be Art and Story by Carl Barks. Scanned from “Super Snooper,” reprinted in Walt Disney Giant no. 3 (Gladstone, 1996). Originally printed in WDC&S no. 107 (Dell, 1949).
