Well, Loops apparently recompresses all uploaded videos no matter if they match the supported dimensions and formats​; maybe it happens in that process (but didn't happen to me so far), maybe it happens on your phone already. Did you try both with the Loops app and the Loops (mobile) website​?

@xfer not really, as it causes the video to appear smaller, at least on mobile devices.
