When impressed with postmarketOS on my PinePhone. It's been running smoothly for the past 46 days.
@distrowatch
Methinks, you told us in the past, which phone are you using. Which was it?
@devSJR For postmarketOS? The PinePhone, as I mentioned in the above post. It's one of the originals, not a Pro model.
@distrowatch Sorry, I missed that. 🤦
@distrowatch Misread as 46 years
@temmie19 The time travelling PinePhone. ... I'd watch that show.
@distrowatch @temmie19 Sliders, but with a Pinephone. Though instead of Parallel worlds, it's sliding through time.
@distrowatch
I just ordered the beta phone running arch
@distrowatch If I may ask, which UI? I've run mine as a spare for a couple years now, but always had trouble with plasma-mobile (every few updates plasma refuses to start and I have to wait for another update to fix it) - I'm also curious: are you on stock modem firmware?
@distrowatch but text messages still flaky, don't arrive etc, right?
@bytheirdeeds No problems like that. When I first started using it the WiFi would drop about once a week. But I think they fixed that recently. It has been running for a few weeks with no issues.
@distrowatch what am I doing wrong, text messages do not arrive 80% of the time, the other 20% they are hours or days late and since the need for work on call is text messages it rules out use as a daily driver unfortunately.
@distrowatch I'm curious, what are you using the device for? Full daily driver or just playing around?
@newbyte Mostly it is a backup server and network storage. Also gets used as a test server and running odd jobs.
