AI is neither useless nor flawless. To build something great with its help, you have to accept it as the most prolific idiot you’ve ever worked with.

@danielpunkass with you 100% on the first sentence, less on the second. Human characteristics don’t help; it’s a tool, and you need to master its UI. The fact that the UI appears conversational is a huge UX failure in the current crop of implementations.

I work with a guy that is an unabashed asshole that goes around spouting ignorant garbage, especially about how perfect his work is (spoiler: it’s not), but he happens to be able to program PLCs. So, my boss keeps him around. If it was up to me, he would have been long gone. Nobody wants to work around someone that constantly crows about how good their work is when you have to second guess it because you know it’s frequently not.
