I should do figure drawing more often. I don't see the purpose of timing it though. I guess to make you focus on the gesture. But I'm a slow drawer, I think, and I prefer that if it lets me get my vision down.
Clearly i need to apply some amount of discipline and training to get to somewhere I am satisfied with the visual results of my art. Some other artists might say formal skill doesn't matter, but the same artists tend to also have a fairly high amount of skill regardless. So that's kind of nebulous
The last time I had a massive growth in my art IMO is around when Friday Night Funkin Minus was around. I drew Minus Pico a lot. Because I was horny for him, not gonna lie. It helped. I got better with color and general structure I think. But I still find it hard to talk about specifics of color lighting, placement, etc. I mainly know of color symbolism and how to use saturation and value. And I have mentioned I struggle with neutral poses
