This is a hindsight thing. He was just elected. Unlike a Trump, we didn’t learn until 2 or 3 years into the war that GWB was an absolute moron. In 2001, everyone got behind Him and the military. And that includes just about anyone in this thread who was alive at the time, and likely their entire nation.
This is horseshit. Plenty of us knew it before he was elected. It was fucking obvious. I was a teenager in 2000, and I was stunned and appalled that we’d elected such a moron. Just because a large proportion of the country got caught up in post-9/11 jingoistic mania doesn’t mean it wasn’t clear from the start what a dipshit he was.
