The Dems were captured by Big$$ interests by the time BillClinton took office.
(It began sooner though, to varying degrees of diff Dem party members)
Clinton abandoned his campaign msg'ing of economic populism, axed those advisors, & appointed WallSt executives to his cabinet.
Next followed pro-corporatist, "the era of big govt is over" types of legislation such as: NAFTA, media consolidation, & reversing of Glass Steagall
This was a red carpet path to oligarchy.
And because the Democratic Party is mostly captured now by Big$$ is why the Dem leaders dont fight for the 99% of us
When they fight hardest actually is against progressive challenges to their centrist, corporatist positions
Pelosi mocked AOC's "Green New Deal"
Feinstein condescended children w the Sunrise Movement abt the GreenNewDeal
SecOfState Hillary traveled the world brokering tracking deals w nations, trading influence for wealth to ClintonFoundation

Pelosi made robocall recordings against a progressive challenger (immigration lawyer, Jessica Cisneros) to protect Trump's claimed "favorite Democrat," Henry Cuellar - among the most corrupt of Dems in the House.
No wonder Nancy - insider stock trading - Pelosi wanted to preserve corruptly corporatist Dems
Dems pretend Repubs block them in everything.
That's why they wont abolish the anti-democratic procedural filibuster in the Senate

Even in recent days, the Dem leaders were behind the scenes opposing the War Powers vote bcuz their pro-Israel donors want the USA to attack Iran for their "greater Israel" long term goal of zionists (it always was, since Israel got made by genocide)
It's why Dem leaders publicly disapprove of Trump not consulting & seeking congressional approval; they disagree on procedure, not substance. They want the war as much as their military industrial corp complex donors do

Thus, most Dems support it but only crow about procedure
This is why in special elections for Congress, we see aggressive progressive candidates TROUNCING the centrist Dems in primaries!
The Dem Party stomps on leftist activists who stand for Palestine, GND, MedicareForAll, FreeEducation, CancelALLEducationDebt, AbolishICE, anti-trust enforcement
Remember billionaire donors like ReidHoffman continuously making statements against Lina Khan, saying a President Harris wld have to fire her because he opposes the restrictions Khan was placing on corporate power!
Obama did the same shit as BillClinton w his corporate friendliness. Who got bailed out of the GreatRecession - banks, not people.
When Repubs took more power for the Executive, Dems kept it that way, and never held Repubs accountable
Obama prosecuted no one for the lying to get the USA into Iraq & Afghanistan
The AfghanistanPapers proved Trump, Obama & WBush all lied about it, too
Obama kept WBush's torture program
Drone bombed more than WBush (everyday)
Assassinated a USA citizen abroad w/o due process, & 1week later assassinated his 16yr old son
Biden/Garland didnt hold accountable for Jan6 Trump or any Repubs of Congress who conspired to steal the election

To be centrist moderate means to protect some corruption, to protect the status quo of corruption that more quietly siphons wealth & power to fewer & fewer hands, while less & less goes to the 99%
The CongressionalDems have even lower approval ratings than Trump - and Trump admin is the one everyone sees fucking everything up
But ThePeople see Dems not fighting against him, for accountability, for any vision

It's because the leaders (and most of the party in Congress) dont actually share the interests of the 99%
Pelosi killed any vote on a bill to ban insider trading, and refused to include impeachment articles on abuse of the Emoluments Clause, because she and most Dems (and most Repubs) were [still are] guilty of the same (just not as brazen as Trump)
Schumer said his top priority is keeping Dems pro-Israel.
He repeated that in recent weeks at a donor dinner that got recorded and reported
This is why the Sinemas & Manchins were allowed to exist w/o Dems publicly shaming or pressuring them
Bcuz Dems pick a couple to be the foils, that allow centrist Dems to say how much theyd like to get done if not for those Repubs filibustering, or those 2 Dems who wont vote w us (unless their own donors get special carve outs)

And it is why the Democratic Party has inherently anti-democratic primary processes.
When the Dem Party has been sued for this, the Party won the lawsuit by arguing they are a private organization and can run itself how it sees. The organization is not a democracy.
Thus, after the 2016 run, the DNC changed its rules to allow its leaders to ultimately choose the candidate no matter what the vote tally is.

Instead, immediately after the Nov 2024 election, Hakeem Jeffries flew to Silicon Valley to appeal to BigTech billionaire bros to support Dems, not Repubs
It's why Grifter Newsom opposes even the paltry billionaire tax of one time 5%.

Dems are the moveable party (maybe). The progressives defeating centrists are happening in Democratic primaries!
And then they typically win in the general... if the Dem establishment doesnt defeat them in the primary w their disinfo campaigns (akin to GOP)

Even these lovely ladies of Oklahoma have been experiencing an awakening from their normy centrism
And listen to them now, as they call out the fascism of Repubs, the corruption of MAGA, the influence of Israel, billionaires, and giant corporate interests
And then aptly call out Dems for not doing the job of an opposition party, to fight for working class, for morality, for our democratic nation, and against imperialism.
