As the federal #Liberal caucus holds a call to get some clarity on #PrimeMinisterCarney 's position on the Trump/Netanyahu war on Iran, I worry that clarity may be the last thing we get.

There is a lot of slippage between our "allies," "friends" and "interests" everywhere. Are we talking about formal alliances, international law, human rights, or geopolitical or commercial interests? Whose? Is the US still really an ally? Israel? Diplomatic language is all very well, but this slippage can mask a whole lot of deliberate deception.
