Question for ADHD-havers that I'm curious on: If we lived in a post-scarcity world, where there was no need to be productive, and you didn't need to like focus on stuff or anything, you could just do what you wanted, would you take ADHD meds? (Assuming easily available)

@november I'm assuming that I would take them daily since my ADHD is also keeping me from doing fun stuff (or makes it much harder)

Although I'm not sure how much my symptoms are influenced by living under capitalism and in a world that isn't made for neurodivergent people.
So maybe in a utopia where this isn't true anymore, my symptoms would lessen/it would be easier to manage them because existing is less draining. And I wouldn't need my meds for fun things anymore or less of them

@november currently I'm taking my meds mostly for myself (they help me deal with mood swings and thinking (and at least as a student *I* wanted to understand complicated things and it wasn't just my boss's wish) and also help with listening to friends and several other things unrelated to work/productivity) and not just to be able to function in a capitalist world. Although I also need them to do that, it's just not my primary reason
